Welcome back to OnlineBibleWorld after the extended weekend break! Let’s get to the links…

Catholic Group Wants to Help Illegal Immigrants

A Catholic group in San Antonio, TX, is planning to provide shelter, food and health care for illegal immigrants who fear new local immigration-related laws and massive raids.

“We are the new Sanctuary Movement in San Antonio,” said group member Victor Ruiz, 63, who works for the immigration division of Catholic Charities. “If immigrants need help, we will do all we can to help them out.”

Iran Arrests Christians

In Iran Arrests 12 Christian Converts, the Christian Post reports on the Iranian arrest of 12 Christian converts from Islam.

Carl Moeller, president of Open Doors USA, said,

“In many cases, some (Iranian Christians) just disappear. And of course we assume, and evidence in the past has indicated, that these people are either killed outright or die during torture.”

“In this case, four still remain in custody and at least two of them are without communication. We really don’t know where they’re being held.”

It is illegal for Muslims to convert to Christianity in Iran.

Vatican Unveils Luxurious Tomb

The Vatican unveiled the largest and most luxurious of the pagan tombs in the necropolis under St Peter’s Basilica.

“This restoration takes us straight to the font of the Catholic Church,” said Cardinal Angelo Comastri."

The massive tomb is only meters away from the burial place of the Apostle Peter.
